The following "highlights" make the KCFC football and Cheerleading program the best in our area:

Games

  • Tackle games are played at a 10-field complex in Heritage Park, the Savannah Youth Complex, Raymore-Peculiar and a number of high schools in the Northland. The Heritage Football Complex also provides permanent and temporary restrooms as well as a concession operation.
  • Flag games are played at the Heritage Park Football Complex, as well as school district facilities.
  • Certified Athletic Trainers are on-site for game days.
  • A sportsmanship committee is "on duty" during all games to oversee and deal with any issues with coaches, spectators or players.

Programs

  • Teams/squads are formed by grade and high school area.
  • There is a minimum play rule - all participants play a minimum number of plays per half in tackle and flag programs.
  • There are restrictions on the number of practices and length of practice per week; we also require a specific number of conditioning practices prior to the start of contact practices.
  • Over 80 teams participated in our tackle program in 2025. Rarely do teams play the same team more than once during the regular season. Over 200 teams participated in the 2025 fall flag program; over 170 teams participated in the spring 2025 flag program.
  • Our spring and fall flag programs are available to boys and girls in grades K-8; the fall tackle program is for grades 3-7.
  • We have a certification program for coaches that includes training clinics and other opportunities through our alliance with USA Football.

Financial

  • Many of the high school areas or individual teams/squads do fundraising or obtain sponsors to help with other costs (uniforms, practices, etc.)
  • KCFC offers financial assistance to those unable to afford to pay fees.
