Football Coaches
Overview
All coaches -- head, assistant and youth assistant -- in the tackle program must complete the club's certification requirements. The head coach is responsible to ensure that only certified coaches participate in practices or games. To be certified, a coach must do the following, in addition to completing the volunteer application so that a background check can be conducted:
1. Tackle head coaches must attend Tackle Coaches Orientation on Tuesday evening, July 22 (6pm at SM South HS Auditorium).
2. All tackle coaches (head and assistant) must complete the USA Football On-Line Youth Tackle Coach Certification/ Recertification (no charge as KCFC is paying the membership cost for its coaches). Coaches receive the USA Football code by completing their volunteer application. Click here for instructions from USA Football on associating with the KCFC program in order to use the coupon code.

- Click on “Training” on the left of the page
- Click on “Take Me There”
- Add course
- Type in Coupon Code when purchasing course (coupon code is received when completing the KCFC volunteer application) - will be available after 5/1/25
- Start Certification
Coaches must complete the above requirements in order to receive a coach pass. Coach passes are required to be on the sideline.

All coaches need to submit an online Volunteer Application every season. This may be completed in two ways:
1) You will be prompted to Volunteer when you are completing your child's online registration. Select YES and complete application.
2) If you do not have a child playing or need to add an application, login to your account (or create an account for new users). Click on the Volunteer tab from your account page and Add Volunteer Role. Select the role that you are applying for and complete application.
Background checks will be done on a yearly basis for all Head and Assistant coaches.
